Transferring requires you to pay a small fee called a transfer fee for the domain registrar to proceed with your transfer request.
Transferring a domain to GoDaddy costs a flat fee of $9.99*, and you get a free year of registration. Upon the expiration of your domain, you will be charged annually to maintain the domain.
